What is Sideqwest?
This is the ongoing design process behind Sideqwest. Sideqwest is a platform for users to do mini activities outside their daily routine. I am as the sole founder and product designer working on this project.
Problem
This is a problem I have observed in my life and those around me and also online. Most people spend on average 90,000 hours (or a 1/3rd) of their lives working and to live more fulfilled lives we need to do more than just work or study.
Challenge
Create a platform that enables and encourages it's users to take part in side quests apart from their main quests (work or study), in an engaging game like way?
Started with
research
I began research by scrubbing through social media to find out what people are saying about doing "side quests" in their lives.
What I
found?
The concept of 'Side quests' are wide spread on the internet and people are familiar with doing activities in contrast to their normal daily routine.
But there are no platforms that focus on enabling us to achieve these side quests.

This is your main dashboard to keep track of your progress.
The top bar organises the view into 3 categories, Ongoing, Completed and Created.
You can stay on top of the Sidewests you're doing and those you've created all in one place!

This view shows the Sideqwest in all it's detail, especially the full description and full size image.

Create Qwest
This is where the magic happens. Users are able to create sideqwest (challenges) for themselves and/or others using the simple interface.
All relevant info of the sideqwest like title, description, an image (video in future versions), timeline/deadline and a toggle to make it private or public.
